Holding The WAIST

Holding the Waist is a strategic analysis of Bangladesh's northern defense posture, examining the Hilli–Ghoraghat–Palashbari corridor and its significance to national security. Combining military doctrine, geopolitical analysis, and deterrence strategy, the book presents a comprehensive framework for safeguarding Bangladesh's territorial integrity.

Why did I name the book Holding the Waist?

742771003 122126009919232861 3874545435152581499 nBecause some places on a map are not just land. They are lifelines. The northern corridor around Hilli, Ghoraghat, Palashbari, and Gaibandha is like the waist of Bangladesh. If it is secure, the north remains connected. If it is threatened, the whole country feels the pressure. My book, ‘HOLDING THE WAIST,’ explains why geography matters, why planning matters, and why national security begins with understanding the map.

Geography is not just a subject. Sometimes, it is destiny.
